A)
B and D "thought to be of as" compare briny solution to a salinity level. So out they are.
E is out because it uses ...the same.... like... the idiom is: the same.... as...
C is wrong because the briny solution cannot be thought to be about the same salinity but should rather be thought to be of about the same salinity. Of makes a link of relativity between the salinity of the briny solution and the salinity of the primordial sea.

It is just "thought of as" .
Is there a difference between "from which" and "from where" ?

The official answer is A.

In relation to this primordial sea, which one is better "from where" or "from which"? Or is just the same to use either?

This is one of those questions that must be hell on nonnative speakers.

People deserve to know why "from where" is wrong, and I can't explain it because I just take it for granted...
