The total of company c's assets in 1994 was 300% greater than than c's total in 1993, which was 400% greater than it's assets in 1992. If N is the total of c's assets in 1992, what is c's assets in 1994?

a. 7N
b. 8N
c. 9N
d. 12N
e. 20N

I am quite obviously not a math genius and would appreciate help. I plugged in an easy number...but what is the best way to answer this?

We have TA1994 (total asset in 1994) is 3 times bigger than TA 1993
And TA1993 is 4 times bigger than TA1992 which is equal N.
So TA1994=3*TA1993=3*4*TA1992=12N
So D it is

It's my big mistake
The conditions tell that TA1994 was 300%greater than TA1993 means TA1994=4*TA1993
And also we got TA1993=5*TA1992
So the correct answer must be TA1994=20*TA1992=20N
Is this right?

I'm getting E

92 --> N
93 --> N(5)
94 --> N(5)(4) = N(20)
---------------------------------

Lets say

if N = $100, then an increase of 100% means a$200 which is equal to 100(2), so an increase of 400% is equal to 100(5)........

If I'm wrong please correct me,

Of course! I forgot to calculate the '1' in there to account for the existing number N. Thank you...phewsh, thought I was losing my mind.
