Is this actually a type of sentence correction? Which SC category does this fits in? I mean Subject-Verb error, or Pronoun Error etc ?

C uses possessive - wrong
D - uses being - wrong
B - uses having been - wrong in this context

Between A & E, A uses wrong style in describing experience as basis for protagonist. Experience cannot be a basis for protagonist. Experience can be used to describe something done by protagonist..

E is the answer

can someone guide me where exactly do we use the word 'that' ? are there any rules depicting the use of the word that?

any help would be appreciated.

Usage of that.

That is to be used in
1. restrictive clauses
2. after subjunctive verbs
3. after reporting verbs
