A contains 10 liters of 60% rose oil mixture
B contains 12 liters of 80% rose oil mixture
C contains X liters of pure rose oil

A perfumer starts mixing fluids: 1/2A+1/3B+2C

find concentration of rose oil in the 11 liters of the resulting mixture.

If the volume of the resulting mixture is 11 litres, then X=1 litre

Therefore, the concentration of rose oil in the resulting mixture is approx. 75%

How did you get that the approx conc is 75%?

I figured the long way (0.5*6) + (1/3)(9.6) + 2. Can u explain ur shorter way around?

concentration=the volume of rose oil/the total volume

the total volume is 11; therefore, according to the formula, 5+4+2X=11 — where X=1.
the volume of rose oil=5*0.6+4*0.8+2=3+3.2+2=8.2

Therefore, 8.2/11=75% approx.
