it needs to be: as...as, so B,C or D. C says "as the case"..wrong because energy is generated, not the case. D put now at the beginning of the phrase, while it must stay at the end, because....as it was in 1990, not as in 1990 it was. So the answer is B

A....
B. generated through wind power now as it was
C. generated through wind power now as was the case
D. now generated through wind power as it was
E. now generated through wind power than was the case

This answer uses the idiom as much...as which elimnates A & E.

'is now generated' seem awk so I'd eliminate D.

Now B or C...'it' refer to a noun "energy" while "was the case" would refer to a verb "generated".

So I would say C since the prompt compares energy generated now vs 1990.
