I guess B.
"as much as" is correct idiom. Although "it" seems to be ambiguous, to keep the //ism "it" is necessary. So B is superior C.

correct idiom is 'as much... as', so A, E - Out
in B and D it isn't clear to what 'it' refers
so, C is the best answer choice
