There are ten glasses: 5 red, 3 blue and 2 green. Two glasses are taken without repetition. How many combinations are there, so that both glasses are of different color.

Total Combinations = 10C2 = 45
Both Red = 5C2 = 10
Both Blue = 3C2 = 3
Both Green = 2C2 = 1

45 - 10 - 3 - 1 = 31

another way would be:
5c1*3c1+3c1*2c1+5c1*2c1=15+6+10=31
