Congrats. And thanks for such a motivating post.

Could you please share your experience about e-gmat course. Did you took verbal live course?
Please give your views on each section i.e. SC, RC and CR.

Congrats once again

Wow, congratulations on a spectacular score improvement! You deserve extra points for pulling that off after two identical scores on your previous attempts--it takes some guts to keep fighting after that.

Just one question, though: do you really have a mustache and a pug? ;)

Congrats again!

Thanks for the kind words
Haha ! No I dont have a pug or a mustache, although I did consider giving "movember" a serious thought.

Heartiest congrats mate..Your perseverance has paid off well.
I second your approach of taking it casually.
thanx for the nice debrief.

Thanks rajeev.

I am still surprised at how taking a casual approach works so well . As many others have said in their debriefs, you preform your best when you relax.

Attempt # 1 : I took a a 12 day vacation from work before the GMAT.

Attempt # 2 : I took a 5 day vacation from work before the GMAT.

Attempt # 3 : No Vacation. Went to work in the morning like any other Monday. Worked for half a day. Took the GMAT at 3 pm.

I guess taking a vacation puts your mind into overdrive, stressing about the test.
Awesome debrief man. And I completely agree to the sticking to official questions only on verbal part.
Congrats again!!!

I am getting a lot of messages asking about SC pattern recognition and my RC strategy, I am in the process on creating a detailed list of my RC methods which I will post here soon.

This is my take on GMAT SC pattern recognition:
By patterns, I mean the kind of structure GMAT uses to formulate a particular type of SC error . It can be any type of error. There are certain sequences of word types that fit together, and others that do not. They key is reading the sentence carefully under time constraints and recognizing that particular set of words that don't fit correct as you read the question.
Reading MGMAT SC multiple times helps to easily correct these errors but you first have to be able to spot these errors to correct them. IMHO The only way to improve do that is to solve official questions. You'll learn the most about SC patterns from the questions you get wrong. Analyze the ones you get wrong ( check gmatclub, mgmat forums) and don,t proceed to the next question until you are fully satisfied with the explanations.

IMHO a two pronged approach for SC works the best. First, read through MGMAT SC guide to learn the types of errors and how to solve them. This is an iterative process as a single reading would rarely suffice.
Once you are familiar with the types of errors and their solutions, start solving OG SC questions. Rushing to solve OG questions without knowing the lay of the land is a waste of precious official questions

Truly inspirational... Can I get the links for SC & RC strategies?
Doing the same questions from OG will be helpful for Verbal? Please guide me. Thanks.
