This is a real condition; thus, WILL is appropriate.

REAL - means it is possible
UNREAL - of course that smth is in the past and thus impossible or smth is just impossible.

From the subjunctive comes expression "If I WERE YOU..." which is an unreal condition.

Is there a difference in the connotation between might and predict

NO, at least I think they are not. Predict is a real condition. Such as: The weather man predicts that it will rain tomorrow.
