This is Why I LOVE GMATClub [#permalink]

Is BW a magnet for hating losers? It's embarrassing to read how the sole purpose of many people on that forum is to trash everyone they can find:

I have always wondered if any of those clowns post here under different names and are much nicer.
Also you know a lot of them are full of it and probably have a 620 and are aiming for a second tier school. rankinggod is supposedly a GSB alum...you would think he would have better things to do with his time than live on that board.

And I hope that anyone who scores a 700 on the GMAT knows how far from average that really is.
I've never really read the BW forums, but I don't like their format, and it doesn't seem like there is any real sentiment to help each other out. I extremely happy that this is the only forum that I've been a part of. Keep up the good work GMATClubbers.

I'm not sure I want to read about anyone's experience taking the GMAT, regardless of how mediocre or spectacular the outcome. Writing at length about one's "personal experience" taking a standardized test is the height of either self-indulgence, lack of self awareness, or both. Who, one imagines, would ever want to read about it?
When it comes to the GMAT, the only reading material anyone cares about are study guides and the occasional cautionary tale. Stories about triumph of the human spirit need not apply.
Amazing!! I wonder if he talks like this in real life ?

Emory, I second that. Don't know if I would have been able to pull through the GMAT without the math boards in the other forum. It was also good for a morale booster too.

It's really only 2-3 posters there...
I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same person posing as different screen names.
Either way, he has no tact or class.

I think I'm very glad I never found the BW forum. I found this site and really never looked back. The very few times I've seen someone try to get snarky here, they were quickly shouted down and hustled off the forum. There's enough strife in the world already - no need to add to it by being a bitter a**hole, I say.

That was the first I have ever seen GMAT Club mentioned on BW. I wonder how many people are going to join GMAT Club now. Once they check it out it is going to be like in the movies when the rain stops and the clouds clear.

Riverripper,
That's one scary point about getting into an MBA program. Even being with just one of those people would freak me out.

gmatclub is dropped on occasions by some of us to people who appear lost and could use real advice not some BS by an idiot.

A small group of people ruin it for everyone else. If BW sets clear terms for use of their forums, they can use the TOS to warn or ban users.
It is possible that the powers that be at BW think that a little controversy is good for generating traffic or that they think it is impossible to keep track of posts.

This where a community trumps a commercial, heavy traffic forum. It is easy to keep ban people who swear etc. using software, but one can be just as rude without using a single swear word without ever being 'found out' on a forum like the BW.
