This post is basically for new comers or for those who are still confused with what to touch for SC. I am not going to take much time of any one. As per the previous active members of the community and verbal experts they are: Poor Resources: 1) 1000 Series-please do not even touch it 2) Brutal SC series- please do not even touch them 3) Barron's SC Best Resources 1) OG12/13 2) OG verbal review 2nd edition 3) Thursdays with RON- a must watch 3) MGMAT SC 5th/4th edition ~ e-GMAT SC course-very good for non-natives- both are equally good 4) Veritas Prep guide Please remember: These are NOT my choices. The list is entirely based on the debriefs. Again saying please do not post questions from 1000 series. Even various prep companies don't endorse it. Hope this helps everyone out there.

Hi Marcab, Thanks for the update. Why does Brutal SC figure in the poor list? ( I always thought it was a good collection of difficult questions) Posted from my mobile device

Trust me, a question in SC could be difficult only when you don't understand the meaning or don't know the entire concepts. The brutal series is brutal by name only. If you read the various debriefs of high scorers, you won't find a single person who even touched Brutal series.

Thanks for pointing out that the answers are wrong. I had earlier solved almost half of them,(some questions were tough) but No use of doing the questions anymore. As a matter of fact a couple of people with 730 and 760 had suggested that I refer to --Brutal SC and Brutal CR documents, documents by whiplash, Gayathri's guide on SC, Spidey's SC guide.

They might have referred to Brutal SCs but one thing I can be sure of is that those people took the test prior to 2010. This was the period when SC questions emphasized on idioms. So the document won't suffice for the needs of current SC pattern. Moreover, if you open MGMAT forum, you would hardly find any instructor discussing the questions from 1000sc and Brutal series. Other sources mentioned by you were also written quite earlier and hence they are entirely different from what we need.

Since you mentioned that it might be old I checked, the exam was taken in dec 2011. But if Brutal SC have their answers wrong no use of doing them. Just to mention I personally found gayatri SC notes useful

Hii Marcab , you may add Gayatri SC notes to the poor/suspect series as well ,I had posted some debatable questions from the notes in the forum ,turns out the experts say that the questions are faulty and one shouldn't waste time over them.
