I guess the "it" in choice B is ambiguous, does it refer to tomato or belladonna

In A, ‘and harmless’ does not sound right actually it is considered harmless.
B has bad ‘it’ which may have multiple potential referent.
Modifiers needs to be close to the close to the what they are modifying. Not the case in E.
C unnecessarily uses ‘itself’.
