Hi Everybody -
I am so happy to find this site. I need some motivation! I thought I was so smart. I studied for the GMAT for 3 weeks...thinking that would be enough....and, I got a 480.
GET THIS...
I took the test in G├╢teberg, Sweden - I live in Stockholm...so, I got up at 4 am on test day, went to the airport, flew 1 hour, got to the test center at 8:30 and started. All was going well, until the 10 min break after the writing...nobody was there to give me access to my stuff or log me back in. They were supposed to be watching me on a video camera. I panic and with 2 minutes to spare, run into the room and get logged in (no food, no drink). I am a bit flustered and miss some minutes of the math arguing with the woman about where she was. I end up totally guessing on 6 of the math questions because I ran out of time.
During the next break....same thing! I am now starving and can't get to my personal items. I panic again. With 30 seconds to spare, I run into the room to get logged in. Again, I waste prescious minutes arguing with these retarded Swedish people (I am American by the way) about where they were. So, I can hardly concentrate and I run out of time again.
BOOM - 480...and I start to cry.
So, I complained to the GMAT people. They are going to erase that score and let me take it again for free.
I have a month. I need a new studying strategy. Last time I didn't even study the verbal because I thougth I would just know the answers. What was I thinking???
I look forward to checking out this site and being in contact with any help out there!
Wendy
1. I found the proctors to be very unprofessional as well.
2. You're downfall may have been your confidence.
3. I suggest you take more than a month to prepare if you want a good score.
