McDonough is starting to come into its own and is actively trying to build brand recognition. Incoming classes are relatively small (~260), which allow for an intimate environment. Not surprisingly, the b-school is differentiating itself based on its presitgious parent school. As such, the school places a strong emphasis on international business. Indeed, students complete an international business project as part of the curricullum.

The school has respectable Finance department and first year students take a heavy dose of accounting, economics, finance, and quantitative methods. In many ways, however the school is still regional and so if you're shooting for banks in NYC you'd probably have a better shot coming from Johnson or Stern.
