Hi,

Not that this question is going to pop up on your screen in GMAT, but it could be a test of your concepts:

It goes like this:

Three birds started flying from a point with same constant speed. Two of the birds are flying in opposite directions to each other and the third one is flying in any other direction. If at any point of time, their respective positions are plotted, what kind of triangle will we formed?

Regards,

A right angled triangle will be formed.

Let the point at which the birds start be the center of a circle. So, at any point of time, the birds travelling in opposite directions will be at the ends of diameter and the other bird will be a point on the semi-circle. As the angled formed in a semi-circle is a right angle, the triangle formed will be a right triangle...:)

A right triangle will be formed. However, this assumes that the birds indeed fly straight. Because if not then this could be a critical reasoning question, so to speak. :
