TIME ON MGMAT CAT IS HORRIBLE [#permalink] New post   11 Jun 2010, 13:19
I JUST TOOK THE MGMAT CAT EXAM AND I GOT 420! I HAD TO GUESS ON 1/3RD OF THE QUESTIONS (V AND QUANT) BECAUSE I WAS PRESSED FOR TIME. I'M CURRENTLY USING THE MGMAT GUIDE TO GRASP CONCEPTS. ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO IMPROVE MY TIME?

MGMAT Test I is a little harder than usual, Even I ran out of time in Quant (10 questions short) & could hardly complete English.

Serch for MGMAT test 1 on the forum and you would be able to seee.....

The best way to improve the timing is practice, may be it sounds vague in the beginning but as you progress and increase your comfort level with the questions it gets better. Believe me.

cats are not 100% accurate indicator on actual gmat scores

lets grasp the materials first before we worry about time

keep practicing. the questions might be harder but 1/3 guessing is a bit much though..

Thank you guys, I'll focus on grasping concepts and doing more practice problems. What materials would you recommend to practice with(I'm trying to safe the OG till I grasp the concepts)? Thanks!

the usual suspects are the MGMAT subject books and Powerscore CR book. People like MGMAT because it is subject focused so if you are weak at SC you can just get the book and focus on it.
