Maybe it's just me, but does it annoy anyone else when you click on a thread and find out it was from 2007 and a poster just ressurected it for no good reason?

bb - Have you ever thought about putting a time stamp on the original post so on the forum you can see when the thread was orignally created?

I don't remember any complaints of this kind

We can't prevent resurrecting the old threads in this way. The only way to see when the thread was started is looking at the date the first post was made.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by Time Stamp (there is a time stamp for each post in the forum; it is displayed in the topright corner of every post)? How exactly do you want it to be implemented?

No, I know that you can't prevent threads from being resurrected. Maybe I should have been clearer. I know there's a time stamp on every post in the upper right. What I'm asking is how about a time stamp underneath the thread topic on the main forum page (the page with the list of threads) so members can see exactly when the thread was first created.

I see what you mean. At the same time, I don't run into this issue too often myself and even if I do find a reply to a 2007 post, it may still be relevant and often is a good post.

I did a bit of research and I have not seen this functionality implemented in any other forum software/case. I am trying to figure out the best implementation and usability of this.

P.S. It may be just you :lol:
