Timing of Interview Invites [#permalink] New post 30 Jan 2007, 12:52
Hi Paul,

Is there a correlation between when you submitted your application and when you would receive an interview request?

I submitted most of apps on the last day of the deadline to the following schools (HBS, Wharton, CBS, UCLA, Cornell and NYU).

Thanks.

mrmikec,

It depends on each school's procedures, so read their admission FAQs. In general, however, I don't believe there is the correlation you ask about. Partly, this is because interview invites are a function of where your file is in the review process, and some people are reviewed quickly (because they're great or lousy) and some are reviewed slowly, because there are differing opinions within the adcom on them. Hence, invites for these applicants might go out later, irrespective of when their file was originally received. School procedure vary widely, however.
