To be accepted as a member at the Brown Country Club, one must have a net worth of over ten million dollars and must not have any connections to the entertainment industry. Robert Chase, the publishing magnate, has a net worth of 5 billion dollars and has been accepted as a member at the Brown Country Club.
Given the statements above, which one of the following conclusions must be true?
A) Chase's membership was preapproved
B) Chase does not know anyone who has connections to the entertainment industry
C) Chase's ex-business partner is a major concert promoter, has a net worth of 100 million dollars, and is a member of the Browb Country Club
D) Chase's brother, who has also petitioned for membership at Brown, has a net worth of 10 billion dollars and considers it beneath his dignity to associate with anyone in the entertainment industry. Hence, his petition will be accepted.
E) Chase has not financed any Holiwood movies.

I would narrow it down between A & D, and would go with A, since for Chase to be accepted into Brown when he is in the entertainment industry, he must have been pre-approved.

Publishing doesn't have to be entertainment! I vote E; hollywood movies most certainly are entertainment.

A would have been the answer if asked for an explanation for the paradoxy . Though he is a publishing magnate , still got into Brown.Explain how ?
But here we have to conclude , and assuming publishing magnate doesnt mean to be associated with entertainment industry ,Chase needs to satisfy two thng to get into Brown.
1. He shd have 10 million. Satisfied
2. Not associated with Entertainment industry .
Since he is in brown means he satisfied both the above cond., there fore , he was never asscoaited with entertainmnet industry .
Finanicng is a subset of connections with entertainment industry and thus needs to be ruled out.
So E it is.
