Hey Everyone,
Kaplan just retooled there CATs on there website, and after hearing this I thought this would be a good chance to put myself through my paces.
My scores are the following:
Kaplan CAT 1 - 530 Q35/V25
CAT 2 - 580 Q37/V30
CAT 3 - 570 Q37V27
I am getting ready to take my 4th and really want to break 600, I am going through all the tests and the
OG 10th edition, so I can resolve any issues.
After the 4th do you guys think that I should finish all 8 Kaplan CATs or take two more which would total 6 Kaplan CATs and just go and take the real thing. The reason I am debating is between the 1st and 3rd I made a pretty good jump of 50 points. This led me to believe that I was studying the right things and going in the right direction. The 3rd test showed me what my skills are, meaning that I am capable of scoring the mid to upper 30s in math and mid to upper 20s in verbal.
Since I have been accepted to my university probationally , I would like to score approximately a 640. The reason that I want a mid 600 score is that I am going for a JD/MBA and the B-school is tier II but the law school is tier I, but 640 would give me vindication over my last defeat of 410 (Q29/V18).
I recently checked out some posting of people who thought upstartraising wasn't really a good CAT to use. Something about the math being pretty good, but the verbal being totally of the mark.
I would definetly like to hear from the advice of my GMAT brothers and sister.
One more thing I forgot, I take a CAT a week so I have the opportunity to do 3 more, 4 if I took 2 in a week.
PLEASE ADVISE.
THX,
WISEGUY
