Took GMAT today 650 Q 44 V35 [#permalink] New post 18 Jun 2013, 12:56
Hi,

I was really confused 10 days ago whether or not to cancel the appointment (should-i-reschedule-my-gmat-153919.html#p1233281. )
However, I thought I would take it and treat it as another mock ( This is my highest scoring mock:). Previous highest was 640 10 days ago. When took GMAT Prep 2 2 days ago, I just scored 620 ).
So, I am done with it now and the result is of course not even modest.

I really don't know how to go from here. Of course, I will take GMAT again for sure, but I have a problem with planning my strategy for my prep. I really don't know how to get to 740+ score. Initially I thought I will target 680 but I have changed my decision and I will not do an MBA in second tier schools.

I seek help from you guys. Please guide me How to go about planning my prep for my second shot at the GMAT.

Regarding my prep so far, It has been very inconsistent and unstructured. For Quant, I have gone thru portions of MGMAT number properties and Algebra guide and for Verbal. I have gone through MGMAT SC guide. Coming to practice, I have practised about 50-60% of OG 13 for each section during the last week ( first 50-60% since I thought I would not get to see harder questions on the day of test). That's it. That was all.So I would say it is very unstructured.

Please help me guys. I think I am stronger in neither quant nor verbal. I am not an engineer and my quant skills are poor. I am not a native speaker of english obviously and so I am not that good in verbal too.

Guys, Pls guide me how to plan my prep and get a very good score. I am thinking of taking GMAT again in about two months Max.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Have you tried Manhattan GMAT Guides? I am about to take my exam this weekend. I have purchased the guides a few months ago to try and really nail down the core knowledge as well as establish some good strategies. Those guides work. Time and strategic studying are your best friends. Find what works for you and keep at it until test day. I scored 660 during one of my full practice this past weekend and I hope I can execute towards 700 this weekend.
