I woke up at 7:30 and took the full GMAT Prep 1 test this morning. This is the first full length CAT I've taken during my studying and I still have 40 days of intense studying ahead of me before my actual test, so I went into it hoping for something decent to build on. To make a long story short I finished the math section with more than 15 minutes left and the verbal section with ~30 minutes left. I feel like I could have slowed down on each and eliminated some sloppy mistakes, but that's what practice is for, right?

Anyway...I clicked the button and waited for my score...780 Q50/V47!!

This forum is the best GMAT prep I could ever hope for. Thanks so much to everyone on here! I hope to score about 20 points higher on the real deal 8-)

I don't think so. Everything is pretty much booked solid in my area. I'm not concerned about staying sharp though. I have plenty of practice problems and motivation left to carry me these last 6 weeks or so.

Awesome,

Just like many, I wish I could score that high...

Your hardwork seems to be paying off. How long had you been working on your test?

I've been studying since early December, but really got into it around mid-December after I was finished with final exams for first semester. I'm taking the "there's no such thing as being over prepared for a test" approach. It's simple really. I have a ton of books and the 1000SC/RC/CR series and I just drill, and drill and drill. When I get something wrong I make sure I know how to do it for next time...then I do more practice.

For verbal, I strongly recommend MGMAT Sentence Correction and practice using OG11, OG Verbal and the 1000 series.

I'll do a full write up after I take the real thing, I feel rather silly doing a write up after a practice test

Are the SC CR RC 1000 real GMAC questions or attempts to duplicate them?
