I took the GMAT but never received the mailed copy of the official result? Anyone experienced this?

How long have you waited? Typically the wait is about 2 weeks. If it's beyond 3 weeks you should contact GMAC folks directly and see if they have any record. Make sure you have information about your test center and exam date/time and ID info.
