Top 50 MBA - Consulting Opportunities [#permalink] New post 13 Mar 2007, 19:30
Hi Paul..

I've been accepted into Georgia Tech's full-time MBA program. I am currently awaiting on a decision from Vandy, but most likely I'll be heading to Atlanta..

I'm interested in moving into the consulting industry. I'm pretty open to different industries...but right now I've pegged financial services and operations as my primary areas of interest..

How is a program like georgia tech, and maybe even vandy perceived by consulting companies? Not Mck, Bain, or BCG, but Booz, Cap Gem, etc.?

Thanks!

Amorica,

I see one MC among Vandy's top 15 recruiters (Deloitte) and three (Booz, Deloitte, Adjoined) among GA Tech's. Only 15% of Vandy's MBAs go into consulting versus 24% of GA Tech's. So I think consultants favor GA Tech over Vandy, which though its median salary for graduating MBAs is $7,000 more than GA Tech's, is primarily known as a finance feeder school.

Good luck,
