How come x = 3/2

[X-1]тАФ[X-2]=0
X-1-X-2=0 isn't it?

[X-1]-[X-2]=0

[X-1]=[X-2]

[X-1]^2=[X-2]^2

X^2-2X+1=x^2-4X+4

X=3/2

do you mean

|X-1|-|X-2| = 0

or

(X-1)-(X-2) = 0

or maybe you don't mean any of those. Can someone please explain this.
