A, C, D: The pronoun "those" does not have an antecedent: "web design" and "application development" ARE the niches -hence it is not clear what "those refers to.

E:
The usage "having specialized" is awkward: Within the present participle modifier "having specialized", the use of present perfect (having) is unnecessary.
The usage "are being" is awkward: For a change in state "becoming" is better than " being".

Option B eliminates the above errors and hence is the best answer.

As the information technology field matures, programmers specializing in particular niches like those of web design and application development have been becoming increasingly marketable to firms that currently outsource projects to boutique contractors.

(A) specializing in particular niches like those of web design and application development have been becoming increasingly – wrong use of ‘like’ to describe and compare nouns

(B) who specialize in such particular niches as web design and application development are becoming more and more – correct use of ‘as’ to compare nouns

(C) who specialized in particular niches such as those of web design and application development are being increasingly – ‘being’ is always wrong on GMAT

(D) who specialize in particular niches like those of web design and application development have been becoming more and more – same as A

(E) having specialized in such particular niches as web design and application development are being increasingly – same as C
