1. “in” parallelism – only C remains.

"IN" no other historical sighting ............... AS "IN"....... (another sighting) --- time Vs time

2. such as > like – A, C and E gone. D uses “the shaping” –ing are wrong on gmat when compared to “shape”. B remains.

3. We'd say - the number jumped by almost to y

jumped to > jumped at
- A, D and E gone. B “has jumped” – we talking about 1997 hence it should take simple past tense “jumped” is fine. B OUT. C remains.

4. ambiguous “it” – A, B, C gone.
D has “proving” OUT. E remains.
