Three (one 2nd year and two 1st years) Stanford GSB students were killed over the weekend when the car they were in went off a cliff on Highway 1. Terrible news, so sad to see people die so young.

If I don't respond to a PM that is not one of the previously mentioned trash can destined messages, please don't take it personally I get so many messages I have a hard to responding to most. The more interesting, compelling, or humorous you message the more likely I am to respond.

That's gruesome. Loss of 3 young and bright individuals who could have done wonders in the business world.

That kind of thing happens more often than you'd think and it really puts things into perspective.

Everyone on here (myself included) is so focused on getting into b-school, getting your MBA and getting a good job that you often forget that there is no guarantee that something tragic won't occur in your own life, either to yourself or a loved one.

Don't forget to appreciate what you have right now.

This is happening pretty close to home, as many of the Haas students know the 2nd year student from GSB.

I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to have your classmate be gone like that. It's truly tragic.

My thoughts and prayers are with terry12 and everyone at GSB.
