Transfer credit hurting chances [#permalink] New post 22 Mar 2013, 12:28
Hi everyone first thankyou so much for the help. I am going to be graduating with an undergraduate honors engineering degree and most likely a 3.85 gpa. One summer I decided to take some credits at another university and ended up getting a B- (class) and C- (lab) which is lower than any grade I have received in college. I wanted to avoid having to use the credits but I am going to come up 1 hour short of graduating with out them. Would something like that hurt my chances significantly at a top 5 b school? If so I may try and take a 1 hour summer school class.

dude don't be silly a 3.85 gpa is higher than the average gpa at any school. one c and one b won't hold you back.

that being said, if all you have to do to not have them on your transcript is take a 1 credit course, you might as well.

now before you apply you will need to get some work experience. it will be very hard to get into a top school without work experience. you will also need to take the gmat. it is the standardized entrance exam for business schools.

3.85 is a solid GPA. Get some work experience and then figure out if grad school is the right move for you.
