It's funny terp06, IMHO Pink and the other Jermyns can't hold a candle to a Brooks Bros shirt (the Golden Fleece is of another world)!

Maybe it's all that laverder/purple that I can't stand :)

I usually get them in the simpler colors and checkered patterns. Brooks Brothers shirts make me look 30 pounds heavier than I really am and Pink shirts make me look 20 pounds lighter than I really am. The cut is completely different. I'll admit that I have never tried a Brooks Slim Fit, though.

Brooks doesn't do slim fit very well, even their "slim fit" shirts are pretty poofy.

Tyrwhitt is entry level english, they are cut decently but not made well. I feel Pink is overpriced and overmarketed. At that price level might as well look at Turnbull and Asser or Hilditch if you are obsessed with Jermyn st. Otherwise Charvet, Lorenzini, Borrelli and other italian makes are about as superb as you will ever see a shirt. Barba and Truzzi are good values.

But dont get caught up in it, make sure the shirt fits, the collar is not loose, and dont wear a clip on. Don't wear your dad's suit. you will be set.
