Treasury and Securities - what is this?

Hi everyone,
I was taking a look at the recruitment page at a bulge bracket investment bank, and I was pleased to see that they make regular visits to over a dozen business schools in the country. However, they only visit one school (according to their schedule) for S&T, with almost all other schools getting visits for Investment Banking and something called "Treasury and securities".
Does anyone know what this division does? I have a decent understand of Treasury (the bank within a bank, etc), but what is this "securities" component that is somehow unrelated to Sales and Trading?
Why would there be so much more interest in recruiting for this position than for S&T? It's literally right up there with IB (which is sort of the regular infantry unit in MBA finance recruiting).
Thanks guys.
