Can someone please explain/teach me how can solve this type of question easily and quickly. I am having really a hard time with type of questions
Appreciate very much.

Trucking transportation rates are x dollars per metric ton per kilometer. How much does it cost, in dollars, to transport one dozen cars, which weigh two metric tons each, n kilometers by truck?

Do not worry too much! :-D

1. one dozen = 12 cars
2. 12 cars each (= each of 12 cars) weighs 2 tons. So total = 12*2=24 tons
3. total tons and kilometers = 24*n
4. one ton and one kilometers costs x dollars, so total costs : x*24*n dollars

x dollars per ton, and for one dozen cars @ 2 tons each is 24 tons, and then we have n kilometres.
