Not E because, the last competitor caught the pole first and then somersaulted. These are two sequential events and not simultaneous events. Hence the use of the subordinate conjunction when is wrong.

Secondly did she catch the pole with the tip of her ski or did the pole catch the tip of her ski. E says that the pole caught the tip of the ski, and uses a passive voice for doing so. The intent is clearly distorted from the actual.
