I had my class visit/interview yesterday, and wow... I'm even more in love with this school... It seems like everyone’s interview was very conversational. I had a few normal questions (walk me through your resume, why mba, why tuck, how are you on a team, blah blah blah). It went pretty well, but not perfectly. I will be hitting submit tonight, and officially beginning the waiting game with Tuck.

I had the exact same experience when I visited and interviewed last week, but my plan is to submit in advance of the November deadline so I can do some final tweaking of my essays.

It's a stark contrast from Columbia, Wharton, and HBS where I felt the student community was a lot more competitive and not open to guests. Thanks for sharing, prorsum. I also came from a big university and am looking for a tight-knit B-school environment. I haven't visited Hanover, but the more I read about Tuck and watch the videos about it, the more I am drawn to this school.

Did anyone here receive an email directly from Tuck admissions? They sent me a reminder last week that my official gmat score and rec's were not submitted. I don't want to read into this as a sign, but it's reassuring that someone from adcom's would personally send me a reminder.

They reach out directly if something is missing from your file - someone from admissions reached out to me as well last year for my official gmat report. Happens - wouldnt read it as a sgn of anything other than that you pray your recommenders submit in time and that. U request for the official mat report

Anyone know the time tomorrow that the application is due? I didn't see a time listed on the website.

Submitted application today! Bittersweet, cos my first choice recommender had an emergency at the last min, so one of my backups wrote a recommendation instead - don't think it'd be as strong a recommendation though Holding thumbs that the rest of my application is compelling enough...

I'm also having a recommendation freak-out. My old supervisor just informed me he wrote me a great letter, and mailed it to each of the admissions offices. When I asked if he had filled out the form I included in the folder I gave him, he asked "What form?" So... I have a letter, that I am sure paints me in a great light, sitting in my file, which is perfect, ... aside from the fact that it doesn't answer any of the questions the form asked (he sent one to Duke too... which doesn't accept offline recommendations!) This is what I get for giving out my folders right before going on vacation... I have people sending personalized letters to adcom because it creates "more impact" So... I have to find a way to convince him to fill out an online form by the end of the work day. Crap Looks like I'll be pushed into the next round...

Does anyone know if Tuck will wait to inform everyone on the same day or if they send out e-mails / call people before mid Dec?
Thanks for your input!

Thanks for your input! I believe everyone finds out on the same day. does it mean that we won't hear anything until 14 Dec if we've already done a self-initiated interview?

Hanover is a beautiful small New England town filled with brilliant minds.[wrapimg=][/wrapimg] Every student, alumn, and adcom I have interacted with has gone out of their way to be helpful. Also, the class I sat in, the professor was a nerd about his topic of study. His enthusiasm was so apparent, he was able to make a somewhat dry topic exciting and engaging.... All in all, I am in love with Tuck, and Hanover.
