Two men depart from points 100 miles apart and drive away from each
other in opposite directions along the same line at avg. speeds of 45
and 50 mph , respectively. At the same time , two women leave the same
points and drive towards each other at avg. speeds of 45 and 55
mph. , respectively. When the women pass each other , how many miles
apart , the men will be ?
Well, since the men started with 100 miles away from each other. Then they started travelling @ 45 @ 50 m/h (res.).
I think the correct answer should be: 100+45+50 = 195 (not the 200) ... since one of the women is driving at 55 and not 50.
