To both your questions 'it depends'.
1.) This should be tailored to your needs. I would concentrate on my weaknesses and build a strong conceptual base first. Subsequently, extensive practice from reputable sources should help.
I did not work extensively on one area for long periods and it worked out well for me. But, you should not work in extremes either. Also, if I dedicated a day to SC, I would do them in a bunch of 20 questions - helps you concentrate, build stamina and observe patterns.
What is important is spending adequate time on explanations and understanding why an option is wrong.
2.) that is a good question. Again, it depends on nature and frequency of your mistakes.
If you are making too many, I'd sit out, won't practice much and rather go back to my concepts. I did not maintain an e-log, but a register. It was much easier for me to just flip pages and revise the whole thing quickly.
This may seem absurd, but I revisited it every 2-3 days. I think that is a bit too much, but at the end of it, I knew where I had been wrong and I had that register literally mapped out in my mind.
Again, I'd say do what feels comfortable for you. Don't suffocate yourself with the whole process.
The best way to use the
error log for me was to see trends, re-do questions and frankly, going through those mistakes repeatedly taught me a lot.
