Gmatters,

Apologies for the late reply; I've been on the road with limited Internet access. By 'UC COB' do you mean U. of Chicago, U. of California, or U. Connecticut? If Chicago, then IS is definitely not one of their many strengths. If California, then UC Irvine and UC Haas are quite strong in IS, and I would certainly recommend them as programs to target. If you mean Connecticut, then they are a decent IS school, but there are a number of other programs you would probably want to aim for first. As for Kelly, their MBA program is quite strong in IS. In fact, US News rated them No. 11.

Good luck!

Thanks for replying.

sorry for not being clear in my earlier post, by UC COB I mean, University of Cincinnati College of business.
So how would you rate this university for thr MS-information Systems program?

Thanks

Gmatters,

Oh, Cincinnati. Well, I don't see it ranked among any of the usual rankings in IT or IS and I have no anecdotal / personal knowledge of the program unfortunately, so my advice is that you check the school's list of employers who hire their grads (Business Week's MBA page also offers this information for the top 10 firms hiring each school's MBAs), and see if these are the types of firms you want to work for. If so -- that is, if Cincinnati gets its graduates placed in IS roles at firms you want to work for -- then you know about all you need to know. I can guarantee you that Cincinnati will have a stronger reputation in Ohio than anywhere else, so if you plan to live and work there, then it could give you the opportunities you want.

Good luck,
