UCLA (Anderson) is the highest ranked school in the second largest metropolitan economic area of the United States. It is located in the western portion of Los Angeles, just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean.
In terms of placement at major firms it is generally the second strongest school on the West Coast after Stanford. However, in some years the school has exhibited rather weak employment statistics relative to other Elite schools. Nonetheless, this has not always been the case. For instance, c. 1988 UCLA had the highest employment rate at graduation of all of the the elites. UCLA also had the highest employment rate at graduation (i.e. percent of class with offers) for the elites c. 1992.
Strengths of UCLA Anderson include Marketing, Finance, and e-ship.

In one year, between UCLA and Michigan UCLA had more placements at LB and MS. Michigan had more placements at McKinsey and ATK.
Relative to Dartmouth, UCLA had more placements at LB and MS but fewer at GS.
Relative to Cornell, UCLA had more placements at GS for two years, tied one year, and had fewer placements one year.

FT 2005 ranks UCLA #26 worldwide - just above Rochester and Emory and just below Oxford and Cornell.
EIU 2004 places UCLA #18 worldwide- just above Berkeley and just below Cornell.
UCLA's best showing on BW was #9, its worst showing has been #16. In the nine rankings to date, UCLA has outranked UCB eight times. UCLA has also outranked Yale in all five of the most recent rankings.

UCLA is the only school in the top league who says tht work experience is not a manditory requirement to get admission in the MBA course.. however i wonder .. If a person has no work exp.. then how would he answer the essay questions tht are work related ..such as responsibilities held at work etc...
and in the form where it requires one the mention the employer's name and current salary etc.. wht is one gonna reply ??
could someone kindly help me with these questions .... and yes like someone said UCLA averages the GMAt if taken more than twice is that true ?????

These are questions about paperwork.
Send them to the Department of Admissions at UCLA and do what they say and don't trust anyone else
It is a job of the Department of Admissions to provide you with answers to paperwork questions.

I agree, the best route is to get the information in writing from the admissions staff at the Anderson School.

If you take it 2x, they look at both scores but consider the higher of the 2. If you take it more than 2x, they "look at all the scores", whatever that means.

UCLA:
"We will use the GMAT score you designate on the Data Form. If you do not indicate which score you would like us to use, your application will be placed on hold until you confirm with the Admissions Office which score you want to have reviewed."
http://www.anderson.ucla.edu/x252.xml
"If I take the GMAT more than once, will the Admissions Committee average the scores or take the highest one?
We will see all of your scores but will take your higher score if you take the test twice. If you take the GMAT more than twice, we consider all scores, but don’t average them."
