UCLA's deadline specifically mentioned 11.59 pm PST . The application submitted time shows EST.

Wow! We're up to a sample size of 4 now -- I think that's a completely legitimate GmatClub sample size to make an assessment of "does not double spacing essay impact my admission decision?"

Yes, I received an invite on January 2nd. If you go back a page or two, you will see my posting about the interview invite. As much as I know, there might be more invites coming in for R1 applications. Last year some R1 applicants received invites in third week of January, just few days before the admission decisions were supposed to be released. Based on my research of last year's postings, for the candidates who receive invites that late, the decisions will be released few weeks after the decision deadline for R1.

Keep your hopes alive until Anderson asks you not to :)

I was admitted R1 on the result day and had interviewed before/around the same time as others who were notified of their admits early. I wouldn't worry about it.

I have the same thoughts/questions since I'm in the same boat, except I interviewed 1/31...

I went through this thread and saw that aerien (sp?) interviewed early in the process during R1 but had to wait until the final day for an acceptance, but that was the only example I could find. Everyone else seemed to be either dinged after interview or waitlisted. So there is still hope, but I'm now much less optimistic...

I don't think we should worry at all (I interviewed on 2/7). Based on forum posts last year, it looks like they had one or two batches of admit invitations go out, and then a majority of admits were given on the final notification date. However, also looks like that those initial batches came out much later, I think in March. And the admissions blog says that they will continue to release batches, I'm guessing will be on Fridays, until the final date.

My application status of "Submitted" and recommenders are still displayed so I'm not sure if this is an indication of anything but this has been the only change to my online application in over 2 months (since the R1 decision date 1/23/13). Anyone else notice this?

The only waitlister to receive a decision that I've seen is one BTG member a few weeks ago.


I just checked my app and noticed the same thing. Maybe they are just resetting it for Wednesday. Or maybe we are all getting big fat acceptance letters! :wink:
