I think I made a serious mess in my essays. UCLA mentions essays should be double spaced. I made the mistake of keeping them 1.5 spaced. What are the possible consequences? I am freaking out. Had put in a lot effort for this one!!!!

Damn..same here. Aargh..how did I miss the double spaced thing :(

shoot.. i made the same mistake too... ugh :(

Wow! We're up to a sample size of 4 now -- I think that's a completely legitimate GmatClub sample size to make an assessment of "does not double spacing essay impact my admission decision?"

lapras, Zynga, pokoleo, and nullvoid325 I'm counting on all of you to be admitted :P

Wow.. this boat is getting heavier now!! my small revelation brought it to many peoples notice. If it continues might need a separate thread for this topic. :P . Anyway. Good luck guys. Just that now we wont end up overlooking this for other schools!!

pardon me for my ignorance.. but how does UCLA send out interview invites? is it rolling basis with no specified date? or do they specify a date but keep sending invites even after that date?

I believe they're rolling all the way to the decision deadline.

Yes, I received an invite on January 2nd. If you go back a page or two, you will see my posting about the interview invite. As much as I know, there might be more invites coming in for R1 applications. Last year some R1 applicants received invites in third week of January, just few days before the admission decisions were supposed to be released. Based on my research of last year's postings, for the candidates who receive invites that late, the decisions will be released few weeks after the decision deadline for R1.

Keep your hopes alive until Anderson asks you not to :)

All the best !

So hows UCLA contact for any info on the application? Do we need to check our application status regularly or just wait for their email?

Sit tight and wait for an email. There's no set release date for invites, so your email could come at any time!

Yes... But I had submitted mine in R2 so shall I expect it after all R1's gets?

Moroever my case is entirely different than my fellow applicants. I had applied only to UCLA in r2 and will apply in r3, the round in which chances r very skim for internationals.
So UCLA acceptance can change the route of my life this year. :P I have put very honest and simple application, and I hope they like it. I have not done extra ordinary things in life, though I have few achievements and I have highlighted them.

Lets see how it goes..

Based on last year's thread, it looks like the last R1 interview invites went out about 2 weeks before the R1 decision release rate (mid-January, aka right around now).

R2 invites started going out at the beginning of February and continued throughout the month.

Do you always talk that much, and repeat the redundant and obvious things endlessly?

I bet you face a hard time managing those word limits. Oh wait ... UCLA word limits were made for you !

Just FYI I managed my word limit pretty well. :P Liking my profile is not in my hand, but I gave my best shot in limited time.
