The questions asks to provide a highlight or special memory of your youth.

I'm 25 years old and want to talk about an experience that happened when I was 19-20. It was 2 years after community college when I got accepted to a University.

Is this too recent? Should I go further back in my life?

I talked about something that happened when I was 18, so I don't think yours is too early.

I read "youth" in this context to mean something from your childhood. I don't personally see someone over 18 as a youth, they are adults at that point.
