UCLA leadership essay question 2 [#permalink]
21 Oct 2006, 20:50
I have a general example that I'm providing in the essay, but I wonder can you include more than one situation. Because I have 2-3 situaions that attack the managerial potential in different angles.
Also, do they have a discussion board? Thanks.

It would probably help if you posted the question...

Here it is...
2. Discuss a situation, preferably work related, where you have taken a significant leadership role. How does this event demonstrate your managerial potential? (limit to 1 page)
I have 2 examples, both from different jobs. What do you think?

To me, answering this question was one of the most difficult questions I encountered. I spent countless hours typing and re-typing what I wanted to convey within the very limited amount of space alloted. Given that you are limited to one page, you need to evaluate whether both examples are fully fleshed out enough to demonstrate your managerial potential as well as tell the story. For me the answer was no. I focused on one specific event and described my role, its impact on the organization and how it demonstrates my potential.
Good Luck.

i feel that one strong example will go much further than multiple examples of lower quality, especially with the one page limit to the essay.
