UG from Univ. of Pune, India - how to calculate GPA? [#permalink]

Hi,
I have a couple of questions that I hope someone can help me with.
- Can you give me some pointers as to how to calculate my GPA for my undergrads?
- How do I figure out how many units the courses had?
I have a Computer Engg degree (4 years) from University of Pune. Graduated in 1995. Univ of Pune has a 4 Class system. Highest to lowest as follows:
- First Class with Distinction
- First Class
- Second Class
- Passes
My results:
First Year: Second Class
Second Year: Second Class
Third Year: Passes
Fourth Year: First Class with Distinction

My results:

Fourth Year: First Class with Distinction I am from the same university. Do not worry about calculating the GPA. Just report the actual percentages to the schools you plan to apply. Schools have different scales for the different universities in India. Just curious are you applying to full time MBA programs? Which schools?

Thanks. Will do that. I will just take my marksheets to SJSU after I apply and will let them figure it out.
No, for now, SJSU On Campus (Part-time) is my only target. I work fulltime and cannot quit my job. If I may ask, are you planning a part-time or a full-time program?
