More information about the price calculation:We compared 23 hour packages because it is the most popular package of Optimus Prep and is an appropriate amount of hours for most students. Many companies don’t offer 23 hour packages but 20 hour packages (each company has different packages which makes it hard to compare). In this case we took the total price for 20 hours, divided it by 20 and multiplied it with 23 to get the best possible estimate. For example, 20 hours of online private tutoring at ManhattanGMAT cost $4,600. This is equal to $230 per hour.
Therefore, 23 hours would cost $5,290 ($230 x 20 hours).
The following overview will list the price range of online private tutoring per hour for each company. Usually the more hours you take the lower is the rate: Princeton Review:
$135-$275/hr (depending on the tutor)
Veritas Prep:
$193-$245/hr (12 hour vs. 36 hour package)
Kaplan:
$142-$186/hr (15 hour vs. 35 hour package)
Manhattan GMAT:
$225-$250/hr (5 hour vs. 25 hour package)
