I will go with E.
Errors are here:
and the subject about whom it is written is invariably misrepresented.

"it is" must be "they are" because of plural "autobiographies". So A and D are out.

B is out because of use of "are" with "subject"
C is out because of "is" with "subjects"

subject is sungular and autobiographies are plural. only E uses the singular plural combination correctly

so E it is.
