UNC (with scholarship) vs Darden [#permalink]
30 Mar 2012, 06:25
I'm having trouble deciding between Kenan-Flagler and Darden. While Darden seems to be a stronger program overall, Kenan-Flagler has a better marketing program (or that's my impression). Additionally, Kenan-Flagler offered me a pretty sizable fellowship. Ideally, I'd like to do brand management on exit but could also see myself in either general mgmt at the right company or mgmt consulting.

You'll have options to do whatever you want at Kenan-Flagler, and if you're open to location, I believe it places its general management candidates pretty well in the South East. And if you're not set on MBB for consulting, and again are okay living in the South East, there are plenty of consulting options at Kenan-Flagler too. For brand management you'll have a good number of options from what I can tell.
This is coming from someone who really like Darden too by the way. It's a top candidate on my list.
Unless you've visited both schools already and would really be happy either way... my gut says to take the road with less debt.
