undergrad gpa remedial courses [#permalink] New post 01 May 2011, 12:56
Hey guys, had a quick question that didn't come up in the search function. I graduated highschool in 2001, and went back to school in 2007. Of course I had to take some remedial courses at a community college to refresh my memory, such as Algebra 1, algebra 2, and introduction to chemistry, which are all 5 credit hours each. I ended up with a C and 2 B's, because I didn't think the grades mattered, nor did they transfered so I only did enough to pass. I didn't try to get the highest grade possible. Now my question is, do I report those grades to the GMAC GPA? It does show up on the transcript, but the courses didn't transfer into the school that I'm currently attending. Thanks in advance guys

Unfortunately they do end up on your resume. But that's where the rest of your resume is supposed to fill in:

- Work Experience
- GMAT score
- Extracurriculars
- Life Stories / Essays
- Interviews
[- And of course Undergrad grades etc ]

I guess it would really depend on the caliber of program you're applying to. If you shooting for a mid- to low-tier program, then your situation will be more leniently evaluated.

Good luck!
