UNEMPLOYMENT as a % of Total Labor Force for Country A From 1982-1987
1982 - 6%
1983 - 10%
1984 - 9%
1985 - 8%
1986 - 8%
1987 - 7.5%

If the total labor force in 1982 was m million workers, and the labor force in 1987 was 0.4 million workers more than this, what was the increase in the number of unemployed members of the workforce from 1982 to 1987, in millions?

a) 0.6m+0.03
b) 0.15m+0.03
c) 0.6m-0.03
d) 0.15m-0.03
e) 0.55m

(m+0.4)*0.075 - m*0.06
= 0.015m+0.03
i don't see this option.. probably it is B. (May be typo)

Yes...typo! b anc c should have been 0.015m + 0.03 and 0.015m - 0.03 respectively. Thank you.

typo...should be B

7.5/100(m+0.4) - 6/100(m) = 0.015m + 0.03
