Univ of Illinois - Urbana Champaign - Masters in finance [#permalink]

hey everyone..
I am being fully funded by a US organization for the above program. Ideally, I would have liked to go to a top tier MBA school but it looks like I don't have much choice at the moment, so it's MSF with financial engineering concentration. So how is the above university ranked in finance? How are the recruitment figures like after graduation? I am thinking about working in UK or singapore after graduation? Can someone out there give me the pros & cons of the aforementioned program?? My area of interest is definitely IB.

I don't think the recruitment is particularly strong for MSF students at UIUC, but the program does provide a way into IB if you're resourceful enough. Please note that financial engineering prepares you for different types of positions from those by MBA. You might want to consider carefully what it is you want to do in IB. If your interest is mainly financial engineering, MSF at UIUC is not the best school you can attend for that purpose. If your interest is MBA type of finance, then why are you concentrating on financial engineering??
