I am an Indian candidate aiming to pursue MBA in Supply Chain Management in US and want to work few years in US post MBA to have international work exposure. I have 2 admits, one from University of Tennessee-Knoxville and another from University of Buffalo. UT-Knoxville has been ranked in Top 10 for Supply Chain by US News and Gartner but ranks low in general rankings at US News and is not been ranked by BusinessWeek, Economist
and Financial Times. University of Buffalo ranks 57 in Businessweek general rankings and nowhere in the Supply Chain rankings. However, the number of companies willing to sponsor H1B for at career fairs in University of Buffalo appears to be more than UT-Knoxville. I need to decide within 7 days, Please guide which one I shall choose.
Make sure that those H1B visas are for graduates in Supply Chain management, otherwise you should switch your concentration to improve your chances of gaining one. And I do recommend looking beyond what you personally saw at the career fairs: check with some of this year's international graduates at both institutions to see if their job searches went smoothly or were a challenge.
